Haruhi had blushed as Kyouya’s hand laid upon her shoulder. She was certain he was holding back strong now, just as she was. Although she was the more likely canidate for dominance she wished to take her boyfriend over, forget the food, she needed him. But she couldn’t deny this offer, it had seemed delightfully out of character for him to be getting out of his way to help her, but she had loved it.
Kyouya had underestimated the simplicity of preparing instant ramen. Perhaps not as ‘instant’ as he had hoped (at least instant coffee was a little less misleading), it was a fairly quick and easy process. The end product of noodles and broth smelled of cheap, factory-produced ingredients, and Kyouya’d rather not go so far as to taste it himself because of that.
“Here, Haruhi,” he offers to her, bowl and chopsticks in hand. “I hope you don’t mind a hot meal on a hot day. I added some cool water into the mix so it isn’t too hot.”
